An Impetuous Age
Concord, City of Spires
Concord is a city of unity, a fact that some find unnatural. Gnomes live under the wood elven trees, with halfling burrows branching off from the caverns and caves of the dwarves and silver folk. Magnificent high elf spires give the city its name, and it is ruled by none but the people.
With no majority (unless you want to group 95% of the people there under the singular banner of “non-humans”, something anathema to the city’s nature…) of race or profession, Concord is a haven for those who have none. Be they half-breeds, cast-outs, or just rare races that never conglomerated enough to have a home, the City of Spires has room for them. And if it ever doesn’t, then the city will make room.
There are some Icons who want to take the disparate and unite them under a common banner, making Concord their domain. There are also some warlords and highmages that want to elevate themselves to Icon status by taking over Concord themselves. The exact details of such are drastically different from ambition to ambition, but few citizens of Concord would like to be ruled.
